По данным большинства авторов, стереотаксическое облучение (радиотерапия и радиохирургия) является эффективным методом контроля роста опухоли у пациентов с неполным удалением и рецидивом ПА.</p><p>Мы представляем клиническое наблюдение пациентки с ПА среднего мозга, у которой, по данным МРТ, за первые 7 мес после облучения сначала произошло выраженное увеличение объема опухоли с последующим полным регрессом имеющейся опухоли без какого‑либо противоопухолевого лечения. Наблюдение за больной с регулярной оценкой клинического состояния и изменений на МРТ, в сопоставлении с похожими клиническими наблюдениями и данными литературы, позволяют предположить, что увеличение объема ПА в ранние сроки после лучевого лечения, как правило, является псевдопрогрессией, а не истинной прогрессией опухоли.</p><p>Понимание данного феномена позволит улучшить оценку результатов лучевого лечения пациентов с ПА и исключить ненужное противоопухолевое лечение у больных с ПА.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Pilocytic astrocytomas (PA) are the most common gliomas (WHO 1) in children. According to many authors stereotactic irradiation (radiotherapy and radiosurgery) (SI) is an effective method which provides a long time progression‑free survival in patients after incomplete tumor resection or with recurrence.</p><p>We present a case of midbrain PA, which has demonstrated a prominent tumor enlargement during the first 7 months after the irradiation with subsequent complete response in 12 months without any antitumor treatment.
